Our Expertise

Expertise that understands the journey.

At Able2Travel, accessibility isn't something we add to travel afterwards.

It sits at the heart of how we think, plan and experience the world.

Our expertise comes from two perspectives: professional knowledge and lived experience — brought together with genuine travel expertise.

Universal Access

Accessibility is our expertise

Our approach is grounded in Universal Access and Universal Design, with professional expertise in understanding how environments, services and experiences work for different travellers.

We look beyond the checklist.

Because a ramp may provide access to a building — but it doesn't necessarily make someone feel welcome, comfortable or confident once they're inside.

We look at the whole journey.

From arrival and accommodation to transport, dining and experiences, we consider the details that can make the difference between simply being able to travel and being able to enjoy the journey.

Lived Experience

We don't just understand access. We live it.

Tarryn's expertise in accessible hospitality began long before Able2Travel. While living in Italy, she experienced European hospitality first-hand and, following surgery, spent time at a wellness centre where she developed a critical eye for how environments could support different needs.

Her first hotel assessment took place in Ortigia, Sicily, at what was then Antico Roma, now Palazzo Artemide. The property belonged to the family of an architect friend who asked Tarryn to walk through the hotel from the perspective of a wheelchair user, offering insight into everything from reception to the guest room. It was an informal exercise, but it changed the way she looked at hospitality - and became the beginning of a much bigger journey into Universal Access.
